Effective date: 20 October 2026

1. Data controller

The controller of personal data collected through arsosolan.com is:

DIALECTIC 33 Ltd. (ДИАЛЕКТИКА 33 ЕООД), UIC 208373640
Privacy contact: privacy@arsosolan.com

DIALECTIC 33 Ltd. is the publisher of the books by author Arso Solan and operates his official website.

2. What data we collect

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we process:

We do not collect sensitive data or ask for any other information.

3. Why we use your email

We use your email address only to send you:

We will not use your email for any other purpose, and we never sell, rent or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 – GDPR), given when you subscribe. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the "Unsubscribe" link in every email or by writing to privacy@arsosolan.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

5. Service provider – MailerLite

We use MailerLite to manage subscribers and send the newsletter. For EEA customers the service is provided by MailerLite Limited, 88 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2, D02 DK18, Ireland. MailerLite acts as our data processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.

Subscriber data is stored on servers in the European Union. If, exceptionally, a transfer outside the EEA is necessary, it takes place only with appropriate safeguards under the GDPR (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework). More information: MailerLite Privacy Policy.

6. Retention period

We keep your data for as long as you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, your email address stays in MailerLite with the status "unsubscribed" so that we send you no further emails. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in respecting your choice (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you ask us at privacy@arsosolan.com to erase your data completely, we delete it with MailerLite's erasure function and it is permanently removed from the system within 30 days.

7. Visits to the website

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare). On every visit, Cloudflare processes technical data – IP address, date and time, the page requested and browser data – to deliver the website and protect it from abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in running the website securely. Any transfer outside the EEA relies on Cloudflare's certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. The retention period of these technical data is set by Cloudflare.

The website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising and has no analytics trackers. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary technical cookies to protect the site.

8. Messages you send us

If you write to arso@arsosolan.com or privacy@arsosolan.com, we process your email address, your name (if given) and the content of your message in order to reply and to handle your enquiry or request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, for requests to exercise your rights, a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR). Messages pass through Cloudflare (email forwarding) and are received in a mailbox provided by Google (Gmail). We keep them only for as long as needed to reply and to document that your request was handled, and then delete them.

The contact form on the Contact page sends your name, email address, message, the page language and the consent tick to our website, which runs on Cloudflare. From there they are sent with Cloudflare's email service as one email to our mailbox, with your address as the reply-to address; we do not store them in a database, and we keep the email as described above. To protect the form from automated spam, Cloudflare Turnstile is loaded when you start filling it in; it checks technical signals from your browser (such as your IP address and browser details) to tell people from bots. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering messages and protecting the form from abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). More about Turnstile: Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

To exercise your rights, email privacy@arsosolan.com. We will respond without undue delay and within one month at the latest. Exercising your rights is free of charge.

10. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP):
2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd., Sofia 1592, Bulgaria
Email: kzld@cpdp.bg · Website: www.cpdp.bg

You may also contact the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.

11. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Only authorised persons have access to the subscriber list.
